The Relais Valpolicella Bed & Breakfast is a recently restored and functional country house, immersed in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica, on the edge of the town of Valgatara and on the slopes of the hills covered with vineyards, a few kilometers from the center of Verona.

Furnished with taste, care and simplicity, the Relais Valpolicella B&B has on the ground floor a Living area, characterized by a living room with fireplace and a zone used as a breakfast area with buffet.
A large internal terrace, which welcomes guests for breakfast in the morning and for an aperitif at sunset in the hottest and sunniest months of the year, leads to the large lawned garden, where you can relax in the sun or in the shade of the olive trees or the big cherry tree.
A haven of peace, surrounded by dozens of wonderful Valpolicella wine cellars, for unforgettable and relaxing tastings and romantic walks along the vineyards.

VALGATARA DI MARANO DI VALPOLICELLA
The valley of Marano is located in the heart of the area called “Valpolicella classica”. This town is enclosed between the valleys of Fumane to the west and Negrar to the east. To the north is the Val Sorda with its caves, while to the south it borders with San Floriano.
The origin of the name of Marano, from the ancient Marianu, seems to derive from the intention of celebrating the memory of Caio Mario, a Roman consul who would have had a castle built on Monte Castelon, as a defensive stronghold by the Cimbri.
The hamlets are small constellations of houses and courtyards, which revolve around the old churches, an unmistakable trace of a population that, until not many years ago, was dedicated to agriculture. In addition to the town of Marano di Valpolicella, the main residential areas are: Valgatara, Prognol, Pezza, S. Rocco and Mondrago.
